What is the Doula Client Closet? We want to reward you for seeking out the advice or services of any Doula Source doula. Just ask your doula to meet you at 3120 O Street for a meeting or doula visit and shop the closet while you are there. We have recieved donations in the form of maternity clothes, breastfeeding supplies, baby decor, bedding, nursing items, Infant shoes, cloth diapers, and much more.
How Does it Work? You can earn a shopping trip to our closet for needed and wanted items simply by meeting a doula, interviewing a doula, or hiring a doula.
Where are We Located? Doulasource is located at 3120 'O' Street on the East side of the building, it's to the right when you walk in. You will be greeted by your doula and asked to sign in at our front desk. We will show you to the Doula Rewards closet to find something to aid you along in your parenting journey. After you are done shopping, we will check your items out by simply writing down your name the items you find. We will have a small children's play area to accomodate your children while you shop but parents are still responsible for keeping an eye on their children while they shop. There is no limit to what you can take and no regulations of any kind on who can shop in the room. The only requirement is that you consult with a doula before, during, or after your pregnancy and you're IN! We do have one small request, we ask that you please "Pay It Forward" in the future, we want to help you out a little while your family is expanding, and when things settle down we ask that you donate some items back to us or forward them on to someone else. Keep the cycle going :) THERE IS NO LIMIT FOR SHOPPERS AND THERE IS NO LIMIT FOR DONATIONS EITHER. WE ARE ALWAYS ACCEPTING DONATIONS ON THESE DAYS AS WELL SO BRING YOUR STAIN-FREE GENTLY USED PREGNANCY AND NEWBORN ITEMS IN.
What Days Are We Open? Right now, we are not "open" unless you are meeting a doula at our comfy meeting location. We do require that all meetings be held during the buildings normal operating hours. We also require that your doula check the online calendar FOR OUR LOCATION and book your time slot. We do not want to double book two doula visits or other occasional events that occur in this space. Mon-Thurs 8 AM to 6:00 PM Fri 8 AM to 3:00 PM Sat 10 AM to 3:00 PM If none of these times works for you or your families schedule, please call Nicci Walla 402.421.6949 and we can setup a special time to let you and your doula into the building.
What if my doula is not listed on Doula Source has never heard of the doula rewards closet? This is simple, encourage them to join our community of Doulas and we will list their profile on our website and they will have immediate access to our teaching space and rewards closet.
Does the room have to be used during a certain time period? As long as the DoulaSource Rewards Closet exists and you met with a doula at any point, you are eligible to shop the closet. Keep in mind though that we are mainly focusing on maternity clothes, breast pumps, and other brand new baby items (except clothes) so you would want to take advantage of the closet at the right time!
How do items get donated to the DoulaSource Doula Rewards Closet? Donations are coming to use from many different sources. If you are ready to donate your gently used, stain-free, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and newborn items to our closet please call Nicci Walla 402.421.6949 to setup a private donation time. We are going to give you a tax deductible statement for your donation.
