What is the Reward-ED Closet? We want to reward you for seeking education about pregnancy, birth, parenting, breastfeeding, postpartum care, or any other education you can find pertaining to the childbearing years and parenting through age 2! We have recieved donations in the form of maternity clothes, breastfeeding supplies, baby decor, bedding, nursing items, Infant shoes, cloth diapers, and much more. You can earn points from DoulaSource Reward-ED to shop in our closet simply by attending any educational resource on our comprehensive resource list.
How Does it Work? We are always updating and compiling a comprehensive list of education classes in and around the Lincoln area. When you attend at least one hour of education from a qualifying educator, they will then give you the DoulaSource points after you attend each hour of education. After saving up a few points you can come to one of our 3 shopping days each month and spend your points on important items you might need during your pregnancy, birth, parenting through age 2, or postpartum period.
Where are We Located? Doulasource is located at 3120 'O' Street on the East side of the building when you walk in. You will be greeted and asked to sign in at our front desk. We will record the number of points you have earned and show you to our Rewarded-ED Closet to find something to aid you along in your parenting journey. After you are done shopping, we will check your items out of our computer system and send you on your way. We will have a small children's play area to accomodate your children while you shop but parents are still responsible for keeping an eye on their children while they shop. WE ARE ALWAYS ACCEPTING DONATIONS ON THESE DAYS AS WELL SO BRING YOUR STAIN-FREE GENTLY USED PREGNANCY AND NEWBORN ITEMS IN.
What Days Are We Open? For the year of 2011 we plan to open to the public 3 days per month. Exceptions would be if the day falls on any official holiday. We will be open the first Saturday of every Month 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM We will be open the second Tuesday of every month 2:00 Pm to 6:00 PM We will be open the 3rd Friday of every month from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
How are the points assigned? Hopefully we already know your educator and they will have the DoulaSource Reward-ED Points Certificates available for you immediately following your course. Each full hour of education is worth 1 point. It does not matter what the cost or location of the class is, one hour of education equals 1 full shopping point. Each certificate is worth 1 point. Items for purchase will range from 1-20 points each.
What if my educational instructor has never heard of this? We are always updating our education resource list and would be happy to contact your educator immediately. They would be able to distribute points certificates for classes they have held up to 4 weeks prior to placing them on our list. Each full hour of education is worth 1 point. Items for purchase will range from 1-20 points each.
Do the points ever expire? As long as the DoulaSource Reward-ED Closet exsists, your points will never expire.
Do we get extra points if we attend as a couple? The only time we give extra points for couples is if you are taking a class that is "paid for" and have to pay extra for attending as a couple. Your educator should know exactly how to reward your points, if they are new to the DoulaSource Reward-ED closet, we will help them determine the number of points they should be assigning their students. .
How do items get donated to the DoulaSource Reward-ED Closet? Donations are coming to use from many different sources. If you are ready to donate your gently used, stain-free, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and newborn items to our closet please come on one of our 3 monthly shopping days or call Nicci Walla 402.421.6949 to setup a private donation time. We are going to give you a tax deductible statement for your donation.
